About the speaker

The 2012-13 Mestenhauser Lecture and associated workshops were given by Professor Betty Leask, University of South Australia, who is a globally recognized scholar and practitioner of internationalizing the curriculum and student learning. She is a highly sought-after speaker in Europe, Canada, Australia, and the United States. In 2010, she was named an Australian National Teaching Fellow.

Professor Leask is the author of numerous publications, including her recent work, Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IoC) in Action: A Guide. She served on the advisory group for the 2010 publication, Finding Common Group: Enhancing interaction between domestic and international students: Guide for academics. She focuses on linking theory and practice with institutional strategy, teaching, learning and research, as well as the integration of international and domestic students into learning environments inside and outside of the classroom.
