The Global Programs and Strategy Alliance and the Research and Innovation Office have launched a new seed grant to support collaborative research between the University of Minnesota and Seoul National University.
Through this collaboration, UMN and SNU seek to catalyze new and expand existing joint research projects that leverage complementary strengths and shared expertise in the natural science and engineering fields. The initial funding round will provide grants of up to $40,000 in areas related to AI and data science, water and energy, advanced materials and manufacturing, and biotechnology, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration. Applications are due April 10, 2026.
