An announcement from Stephanie Doscher, the new assistant vice provost for curriculum internationalization:

Our team is evolving and expanding and so is our name and activities!

After a busy summer getting to know each other and developing a deeper understanding of our history and mission, our team has re-focused our name to better reflect our work and impact. Don’t worry, the Office of Curriculum Internationalization is still home to the signature professional development offerings you know and love, such as our transformational workshops and cohort programs, the Internationalizing the Curriculum and Campus Conference, and international travel grants. But we’re updating and broadening our menu to offer new ways to connect and collaborate with us! Here is a sneak preview of what’s to come:

  • More recognition: Faculty and staff will be able to earn a University of Minnesota micro-credential for successfully completing our Internationalizing Course Design (formerly ITL) and Teaching in Globally Diverse Classes programs
  • More diversity: Educators from other U.S. and non-U.S. colleges and universities will be able to enroll in our programs—some of which will be offered in languages other than English—widening your perspective and professional network
  • More connections: Our newsletters will promote additional student and faculty success opportunities, including international teaching, learning, and research grants; fellowships and award applications; calls for submissions to conferences and journals; and much more.
