Nick Clegg served as deputy prime minister of the United Kingdom from 2010–15 and leader of the Liberal Democrats from 2007–15. He was appointed a Knight Bachelor in 2018 for political and public service.

Clegg is currently president for global affairs at Meta, Inc.

After attending Cambridge University for his undergraduate studies, he spent a year studying politics and international relations at the University of Minnesota, where he wrote a thesis on the political philosophy of the Deep Green movement.
