Yanni Chryssomallis is a leading figure in late-20th century New Age music. He popularized the combination of electronic music synthesizers with a full symphony orchestra.
Two of his albums have received Grammy Award nominations. His album sales have totaled over 25 million copies, and he has performed in more than 30 countries on five continents.
His breakthrough concert, Live at the Acropolis, was the second best-selling music concert video of all time. He is the first Western artist ever to perform and record at India's Taj Mahal and China's Forbidden City.
