Jacqueline Beihua Tang studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Central Conservatory of Music. In 1999, Tang received a master of arts in music from the Univeristy of Minnesota.

She is currently a piano professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Shenzhen Arts School. Tang is an outstanding piono educator, having educated many prize-winning students in various competitions. She has been a jury member of many international competitions, such as the Concurso International de Piano Premio “aen” and Conservatorlo Municipal de Musica “José Iturbi” de Valencia in Spain, the Premio Mauro Paolo Monopoli in Italy, among others.

In 2007 and 2008 she was nominated as a Piano Teacher of Merit of Shanghai and received the Special Award for Outstanding Teacher. Tang is the Shanghai regional director of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.
