U.S. Government and Elections 101

RecWell

We understand the U.S. government system and elections are very complex. How do these systems work? How do they impact you as an international student or scholar?

A panel discussion will take place at 3 p.m., with panelists speaking on topics such as federal, state, and local government systems, U.S. voting and election processes, government protections and rights for non-citizens, involvement in student government, and other related topics.

After the panel discussion, join Small World Coffee Hour (SWCH) from 4-6 p.m. for an interactive activity related to understanding the election process. SWCH will also include presenters from the Abilities Beyond Disabilities Caucus for International Students.

Events are open to all students and scholars! The panel will take place at the RecWell Center on the 2nd Floor in Multipurpose (MP) Rooms 1-2 and SWCH will take place right next door in Multipurpose (MP) Rooms 3-4.

This event is a partnership between International Student and Scholar Services and Small World Coffee Hour.
