About the Series

The Global Perspectives on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion webinar series provides opportunities to learn how diversity, equity, and inclusion are defined and addressed in countries outside the U.S. Each monthly webinar features 2–3 panelists from diverse countries and backgrounds who share their perspectives on what it means to view diversity, equity, and inclusion with a global lens.

About the Panelists

Taiwo Aremu

UMN PhD Student, Social and Administrative Pharmacy
Nigeria

Taiwo Aremu is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social and Administrative Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy while doubling in a Ph.D. program in Environmental Health Sciences (Infectious Disease) at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. He currently sits on the University of Minnesota Senate, representing the College of Pharmacy as a University of Minnesota Student Senator. He is a researcher at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital and Masonic Cancer Center. He is also the executive editor of the Public Health Review (PHR)  journal and a co-coordinator of the School of Public Health Global Health Work Group.

Vongrathayuth (Yuth) Hingphith

UMN Master's Student - Comparative and International Development Education Cambodia

Vongrathayuth Hingphith had served and worked in the public education and nonprofit sectors for more than seven years prior to his pursuit of higher education in the United States. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction, from Royal University of Phnom Penh, and is pursuing his second master’s degree in Comparative and International Development Education in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development in the College of Education and Human Development. Currently, he serves as the director of communication for the CEHD International Student Community and a graduate consultant for International Student and Scholar Services.
