University of Minnesota Delegation Visits Kiel University

A delegation from the University of Minnesota visited Kiel University in Germany for a workshop on July 2-4. Among the members was Interim Director and Academic Director for the Learning Abroad Center, Christine Anderson.

The workshop covered several topics of potential research collaborations and opportunities for student exchange and joint education programs in areas including Maritime Engineering and Marine Science, Precision Agriculture and Nutrition, Biosensing, and Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence. The workshop included formal presentations, tours of research facilities at Kiel University and GeoMar, and discussions of joint educational program developments.
