Walter H. Judd International Graduate & Professional Fellowships

The Judd Fellowships make possible transformational experiences abroad for University of Minnesota graduate and professional degree students. Each year 15 Judd Fellows are selected to conduct research and complete internships abroad that many describe as “career defining.” They work side-by-side with professionals in other countries and in a variety of settings, from hospitals to NGOs, in small villages to large institutions. The Fellows present their work at the annual Judd Expo.

Judd 2.0 graphicIn the second decade of the Fellowships, the Judd 2.0 initiative seeks to increase both the number and the size of the Fellowships to have an even greater impact on the intercultural, academic, and career development of master’s and professional degree students.

Judd Fellows Expo

Each October, the annual Judd Fellows Expo gives the returned fellows the opportunity to share photos and stories of their time abroad with family, friends, faculty mentors, and supporters of the fellowships. If you would like to receive an invitation to this event, please email global@umn.edu.

2020 Judd Expo

Due to the global pandemic, 2020 Judd Fellows shared their experiences via video messages.
