Internationalizing Teaching and Learning Cohort Program
This program will engage faculty in significant course design or redesign by participating in a multidisciplinary cohort of their peers. They will develop an internationalized sense of “academic self,”* identify global learning outcomes for their courses, expand their teaching strategies, and develop course materials, activities and assessments.

Online Resources for Internationalizing the Curriculum
University and off-campus resources in the following categories: Internationalization of the Curriculum, Culture Learning in the Classroom, Global Competency Development in the Classroom, and Recordings from the University's Internationalizing the Curriculum and Campus Conference.

Internationalizing Teaching and Learning Pilot Program
This pilot program for fall semester 2010 will provide faculty with resources and consultation to integrate global, intercultural and international dimensions to their courses.

Internationalizing By Design
Online tutorial offered by the Center for Teaching and Learning for faculty and instructors to develop more international perspectives in their courses.

International Travel Grants
Funding from the GPS Alliance for faculty and professional staff to travel abroad to build knowledge and resources, and develop programmatic initiatives that will ultimately internationalize the University of Minnesota curricula of all five campuses

Intercultural Training Center
Part of International Student and Scholar Services, the Center designs and facilitates intercultural training programs for U.S. and international audiences.

Research and Best Practices in Internationalizing the Curriculum

Curriculum Integration of Learning Abroad
University-wide initiative to internationalize the undergraduate experience by integrating learning abroad into all degree programs on all five campuses.

Student Voices: A Survey of International Undergraduates' First-Year Challenges at UMTC
Overview of survey results and resources and recommendations to help faculty and staff address and assist with these challenges.

Connecting U.S. and International Students

Culture Corps
A series of projects that bring international perspectives into classrooms and onto campus through the experience and knowledge of international students.

Small World Coffee Hour
Invites all international and domestic students, faculty, and staff to gather together in a relaxing social environment. Each interactive event has the flavoring of a specific cultural region's activities, foods, and traditions.

International Buddy Program
Current U.S. and international undergraduates connect with new international undergraduate students.

Students Crossing Borders
Students are paired with an international or domestic roommate in Middlebrook Hall and will focus on intercultural learning in one of Housing & Residential Life's Living and Learning Communities.

Cross-Cultural Discussion Groups
Gathers small groups of domestic and international students and scholars together in an intimate atmosphere to explore their cross-cultural experiences and perspectives.

Student Organizations
Minnesota International Student Association (MISA) and Global Gophers, a student organization for returned study abroad students, are just two examples of the many student leadership opportunities with an international theme.

Community Engagement Opportunities
International students are encouraged to become involved with the community to learn more about the U.S. and Minnesota along side U.S. students and community members.
