Funding for International Activities

Carol Pazandak Iceland-Minnesota Travel Fund

Deadline: December 15th annually

Carol Pazandak’s footprints at the University of Minnesota loom large. She served the University from 1970 to 2007 in many roles from professor of psychology to assistant to the president to professor emerita, and more. Carol’s passion for Iceland and Icelanders began during her tenure as assistant to President McGrath when he agreed to a formal exchange with the University of Iceland, the development of which Carol played a key and ongoing role.

Carol has been described as Minnesota’s bridge to Iceland. Her family has committed to honoring both their mother’s passion for Iceland and her request they establish a small-grants travel fund for faculty and staff from the University of Iceland to consult, visit, or conduct research at the University of Minnesota.

The Carol Pazandak Iceland-Minnesota Travel Fund will provide awards in the range of $1,000 to $3,000 to University of Iceland faculty and staff to visit Minnesota.
