Antony B. Maikuri is a graduate student in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, pursuing a Ph.D in Evaluation. Antony, an international student from Kenya, first arrived at the University of Minnesota to pursue a master’s degree from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. In an effort to contribute to internationalization efforts at the university, Antony created and co-teaches a course for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) entitled “Diverse Voices of Africa,” a series of conversations about Africa led by Africans. Antony was an international student representative to the Humphrey School’s Public Affairs Student Association (PASA), held a board position for the International Students Association, and served as a member of the International Student Advisory Board. Through his many roles on campus, Antony advocates for the needs and priorities of international students.
