Alyssa Dougherty

Alyssa Dougherty is a graduate student in the School of Public Health’s Division of Epidemiology and Community Health at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She is currently pursuing a master of public health in public health nutrition. Alyssa has participated in many initiatives aimed at promoting cross-cultural exchange, both on campus and in the community. Alyssa volunteered to join a Cross-Cultural Discussion Group facilitated by International Student and Scholar Services at the University of Minnesota, meeting weekly to explore topics related to global and intercultural perspectives. Alyssa also volunteered as a group leader for the 2020 Global Youth Institute hosted by the World Food Prize Foundation. In this role, she helped facilitate research presentations from high school students from around the world. Alyssa also leads virtual, biblical discussions for international students through International Friendship Connection, the international ministry of Salt City Church.
