Units in the GPS Alliance
Global Opportunities Minnesota (GO Minnesota) offers standardized theme-based short-term programs for international students, as well as semester study options for international undergraduate non-degree students.
The mission of GO Minnesota is to educate and connect people from around the world through the excellence of the University of Minnesota.
GO Minnesota programs are transformative, providing participants with lasting knowledge and connections to help expand their world. Our diverse programs offer excellent value to participants and enable the GPS Alliance to expand its mission and reach.
We offer diverse cultural and academic programs:
- The Minnesota Semester is a study abroad program for non-degree and non-exchange international students who would like to experience a semester at the University of Minnesota. In addition to enrolling in select U of M courses, students will also enjoy an expanded orientation program and group cultural outings.
- A new Summer Session is now available!
Our short-term (3-week) Enrichment Seminars focus on a single subject, and are perfect for the student looking for a short-term opportunity that blends classroom time with field experiences. Programs include:
- Winter Sport: Education and Management
- Innovations in Environmental Sustainability
- Global Teacher Education
If you are interested in partnering with us on one of our programs, or just want to learn more about GO Minnesota, we would be happy to hear from you!
