China Center

Since 1979, the China Center has served as the University of Minnesota’s bridge to China, reflecting the institution’s firm and long-standing commitment to international research, teaching, and service. The China Center offers comprehensive services and resources to the University community, government and business sectors, and the public.

The China Center also houses the Mingda Institute for Leadership Training. The Mingda Institute hosts advanced executive training courses for mid-career professionals from China. In 2001, the program was certified by the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs of China to conduct Chinese overseas training programs. It offers executive courses not only in various academic fields, but also in U.S. culture, values, etiquette, protocol, corporate and government culture, and management.
